Privacy policy

How Friends of Fieldway collects, uses, and protects the personal information you share with us.

Last updated: 7 May 2026

Who we are

Friends of Fieldway is a community-led initiative based in Fieldway, London. For any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, contact our data-protection lead at roy@friendsoffieldway.org.

What we collect

When you use the Contact page or Get Involved form, the website sends your enquiry to us by email. If you submit one of those forms, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • The subject or area of interest you select
  • The message you write

The website does not store enquiry information in a database. Contact and Get Involved messages are processed only so they can be delivered to our inbox. If you give us further details by email or in person (for example to enrol in a programme), we will tell you at that point what we collect and why.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

We process enquiry information under the UK GDPR legitimate interest basis: replying to people who contact us about our community work.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry messages for up to 12 months after the conversation closes, then delete them. Records linked to active programmes are kept for as long as you are involved, and then for a short period after, so we can answer follow-up questions.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information
  • Ask us to stop or restrict using it
  • Object to our use of it

Email roy@friendsoffieldway.org to make any of these requests. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Third parties

This site uses a small number of third-party services:

  • Vercel hosts the website. Vercel logs requests, including IP addresses, for short periods to keep the service running and secure.
  • Resend sends Contact and Get Involved form notifications to our email inbox.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the site. Loading a page may share your IP address with Google. Google does not set cookies through Google Fonts.
  • Your email provider handles any message you choose to send to us through your email app.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics (planned): if we add visitor analytics, we will use a tool that does not set tracking cookies and does not identify individual visitors. We will list the specific tool here before it is in place.

Cookies

This site does not set tracking cookies. Your browser may store small technical items (for example, font files cached for performance), but nothing that identifies you. If we add tools that change this, we will update this page first.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
